This habit started way back during TA era. Not to mention there are a few quicker ways to respond like using RSS feeds, email notifications and what not. Apart from Vox, I use a few other platforms to monitor new posts from a few sites.
Netvibes currently comes close to what I need. Another one which is still yet to be released to the public is Streamy, kinda cool if you want to mix a few aggregators together as it streams in one column all the news feeds you've listed chronologically. Plus, it's a social network platform too. PM me if you want an invite for this.
But honestly, I have no idea my response time is a fast one.. :)
All in all, the tip of the scale is shifted towards hooking to the net on this weekend as I have access to the net 24/7. Normally, I only respond weekdays before midnight - and no, I don't use my mobile to check on the latest stuff (yet)
