I'm sending this message from Facebook to see how well this message is spread across other platform that I have presence on. I saw this app announcement yesterday on the net and vox has made an official entry about the app as well.
Today, I thought, what the heck... might as well give it a shot.
In a nut shell, there are two kinds of 'blog' update these days - the lengthy text that we normally called a blog post (like this entry) or the shorter version that you may call as Status Updates (a short description updates that you put up every now and then)
This app caters both. The idea is, they want you to make Facebook as your home ground, home base, anchor point, you call it whatever you want. You write your message here, select where else you want the post to be updated and hit the send button. As simple as that.
This will eliminate you opening the few related sites and make individual post in each site.
I've found HelloTxt that has similar function to post status updates but currently don't have any feature to update blog posts. It's just a 140 characters limitation per post. It seems like Blog It cater both areas.
Will I stick to Facebook everytime I want to make an update? Hmmm... I doubt it. Do I use this interface sometime? Maybe - when I'm in the zone to be at Facebook.
Anywhoooo.. this is just the ice-breaking session. You'll never know what other addons they'll introduce in the near future.
